This is my first post in three years. This is a new blog, from a new location.
If you have a blog, and you need to move locations, remember to notify Google before you close out your service provider, or switch the phone companies that provide your security backup number. I lost access to my blog Living of Art.
I returned to within thirty miles of my birthplace. The failure to recognize the actual physical energy the move would take, extended to the renovation of a house and studio. New and renewed social relationships changed the emotional environment which is both the foundation and the flavour of my art. The physical and cultural jolt made it very difficult to make a connection with my painting self. A commission and some previous commitments greatly helped to keep in touch.
Having a different studio, different light, took some getting used to. "Studio cat", dear Sophie, is no longer keeping me company. She has departed to a cat heaven filled with artists who will recognize her for the muse that she is. For more about studio cats read my post: Creative People and Cats.
Change always brings good. I can feel refreshed energy and a surge of creativity.
